On June 6, 2018, there were two separate fatal motorcycle crashes in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. A motorcycle driver was hit by a car making a U-turn on Rising Sun Avenue and died from his injuries. A few hours later that day, a motorcycle driver was traveling on Girard Avenue with a pack of drivers when he was hit by another motorcycle, lost control and crashed into a tree. He also died from his injuries.
Motorcycles do not provide the same protection as cars. According to the Motorcycle Institute, riding a motorcycle is 38 times more dangerous than riding a car. They reported over 190 fatal motorcycle crashes in 2016 in Pennsylvania.
Now that it’s warm out, more riders are on the road. All drivers should be cautious especially those who drive motorcycles.
If you have been injured or your loved one has been injured or killed while driving a motorcycle or car, you should have an attorney investigate the crash immediately. See Automobile Accidents for more information and contact the attorneys at Washington & Washington now to protect your rights.
